Couples Swept Away sits on 1,500 feet of the most beautiful soft white sand you may ever sink your toes in. If you gaze past the calm multi-colored turquoise Caribbean Sea you will witness gorgeous sunset, night after night. Now for us to say that Negril has the best beaches, calmest and clearest water, and best sunsets in all of Jamaica; and then to say Couples Swept Away has the best beach on Negril – well that’s saying a whole let. And we mean it. In fact we feel like prophets when our happy couples return exclaiming about the resort.

Staying at Couples Swept Away is a laid-back Caribbean vacation, honeymoon, anniversary or destination wedding; because this place is absolutely ideal for all of the above. While the ambiance is casual, the food and drink quality of this all-inclusive resort remain high. You won’t be disappointed in this regard. As always Couples includes a multitude of activities right on the resort; or you can choose to relax to your own pace. Some recent clients of ours raved about the diving/snorkel experience they enjoyed right from the resort – and it was included in the price. Best water experience they ever had – and these are experienced Caribbean travelers! Couples also include many valuable off-resort activities that you will benefit from, and those are included in your up-front price for a great value.
The resort sits on 27 acres of tropical landscaping fronting Seven Mile Beach. Expect about a 75-minute drive from Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay. Of course you can check-in with the Couples Lounge at the airport for some refreshments before Couples brings you to the resort.
Couples Swept Away has 312 Caribbean styled rooms in seven room categories which we describe in detail. The rooms here are nicely furnished in Caribbean style and should be described as casual not luxurious. Be sure to pay close attention to our room description and not all rooms have TV. All categories feature the basics of King sized bed, air conditioning, ceiling fans, telephone, iPod/MP3 player, Free WiFi, in-room safe (at an additional cost), coffee maker, shower, hair dryer, robes, iron and ironing board. The bars open at 10am and the last one closes when you say so. That’s the Couples way.

Two restaurants are open for breakfast and for lunch, and five for a la carte dinner in the evening. There’s even a beach-side Grill open until 5:00am just to make sure you get your quota of jerk chicken, and everything else you desire. This is no ordinary fare, Couples is a cut above. You can even order continental breakfast for dining on your balcony.
Activities are another major area where Couples shines. Be sure to read our list of all the activities, they include golf, sunset catamaran cruises, trips to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, glass bottom boat rides and much more. Couples Swept Away has one of the larger fitness centers we’ve seen, including a 10-acre sports facility across the street; and as you should expect from an couples-only resort, the spa offers a wide range of individual and couples treatments for additional fees.
Service throughout the resort is delivered warmly without the expectation of a tip. Couples resorts has a “No Tipping Allowed” policy.
Just look at this beach. Who wouldn't want to have a beach wedding here - and at sunset! And the grounds are beautiful as well, in fact there is a lovely garden gazebo perfect for weddings and an area right in front of it for the reception.

Couples Swept Away is higher rated than the nearby Couples Negril. This is a fantastic resort to celebrate a honeymoon, destination wedding, anniversary, or couples get-away. We suggest several couples travel together. With all the included activities it is great treat to share the experience with friends. Bet you didn’t expect to find a Casino here. Well, there is – with Slots, Poker and Roulette – open until 2am. Consistent with all Couples resorts you can expect high quality brand drinks and delicious cuisine at a la carte restaurants.
