Daily Itinerary

We love the sailing experience, seeing the sails and especially the raising of the sails after stops with the famous Vangelis song in the air. But this itinerary is made for sailing vessels like Star Flyer

We will set sail from St Maarten on Saturday, January 9, 2027 for 7-glorious nights. Stopping first in Anguilla, before sailing foer Jost Van Dyke B.V.I., Soper's Hole - Tortola B.V.I., Sail Sir Francis Drake Channel, also visit The Bight - Norman Island B.V.I., Virgin Gorda B.V.I., the Captain's Beach Stop B.V.I., St Kitts, Friars Beach Bay Beach & St Barts. Count them 10 stops in all. Several days we will stop at a location in the morning, reboard for lunch while the ship repositions to a fabulous beach for the afternoon.

Here is the day by day ports of call and highlights of each stop. We loved it so much we want to do it again! These beachy, Tiki Hut stop sure beat the January weather back home!

DAY 1 SAIL FROM ST MAARTEN

Star Flyer in St Maarten.jpg

The Star Flyer does not depart St Maarten until 10 PM, so most early departures will get you here in plenty of time. However to be cautious we do recommend flying in a day early.

Boarding begins at 4 PM. Music greets you from The Tropical Bar. Enjoy Happy Hour snacks and adult beverages till 6. Obviously drinks will continue to flow. Welcome Dinner in the Clipper Dining Room is at your convenience between 7:30 and 10 PM tonight for potential late arrivals. Open seating prevails.

Set sail for Anguilla at 10 PM. Join us at the Piano Bar for a nightcap(s) and Midnight Snack from 11:30 until 12:30, if you are still awake after a long day.

DAY 2 ROAD BAY / ANGUILLA

Jay _ Dune Preserve, Anguilla

Early Bird Breakfast at 6:30 followed by the Breakfast Buffet at 8. We are only in Anguilla for a short 5 hours, so make the most of this gorgeous island.

The crew will fill you in on all the watersports and beach activities available. The best snorkel spot is Shoal Bay, north of Road Bay.

Personally I will head to Dune Preserve, home of legendary Reggae star Bankie Banks.  Set on a breathtaking beach with live music, a lively bar, occasional brunch and of course live music. Join me, we can go as a group.

Lunch from 12 till 2; Happy Hour 5-6; Dinner 7:30 - 10, and of course Midnight Snack at 11:30. Live music till very late, even star gazing.

DAY 3 JOST VAN DYKE & TORTOLA

Jost Van Dyke.webp

Let the double stop days begin. 2 great stops today. Begin the day at the enchanting White Bay on Jost Van Dyke B.V.I. from 9 until 5. This is the idealist Tiki Hut beach stop. And if that is what you are looking for head directly to the (In)famous Soggy Dollar, right on the beach. If Conch or Lobster Rolls are your thing (they re mine) this is the place.

Plenty of water activities here - sailing, kayak, water ski, wake boarding, wind surfing & more.

Tonight you can hit the town at Soper Hole in Tortola B.V.I. from 6(ish) till 11:30. There are several places for dinner, munchies and/or drinks. Start with famous Pussers Landing, right on the dock. If you are brave enough: order the Pain Killer.

A Caribbean Steel Duo came on board tonight.

DAY 4 NORMAN ISLAND

This morning begins with a lovely sail through famous Sir Francis Drake channel. Mountains rising from the sea are in view in all directions. You will definitely begin to view some impressive yachts.

For the adventurous, you can climb the mast with the sports team for some eagle eye views high above us grounded folks.

At 11 AM we arrive at Norman Island. Lots of great activities are available here. There is a picture perfect beach just a short tender away with multiple bars and a great spot to pick up some attractive Virgin Island souvenir shirts, etc.

Set sail from Norman island to Virgin Gorda at 5 PM

DAY 5 VIRGIN GORDA & BEACH STOP

The Baths in Virgin Gorda B.V.I..jpg

Today is a real treat. First, today is another double stop day. As if Virgin Gorda was not beautiful enough (it is) The Baths are just unworldly. We arrive at 6:30 AM and are off the ship soon after to beat the crowds to this top Caribbean attraction.

Walking through The Baths is like nothing else you have ever experienced. Swim suite & camera are required. We depart Virgin Gorda at 12:30.

We are onboard just long enough for another fabulous lunch before we arrive at Beef Island, back in Tortola. Another beautiful chill beachy afternoon on a long scenic beach with yes, bars

DAY 6 GUSTAVAI, ST BARTS

St Barts Harbor.jpg

For just one day we change pace from Tiki Bars to the land of the rich and famous. Esteemed St Barts. Leave your charge cards on board unless you want to be tempted by the endless diamond and designer shops that line these famous streets.

Or you can join me at an old Jimmy Buffett hangout, Le Select, which served as the inspiration for "Cheeseburger in Paradise". Burgers, salads and cold drinks are the order of the day at this chill spot, sans the glitz.

We are in St Barts from 10 AM until 10 PM for a long day to shop and or enjoy a fabulous (not so cheap) dinner at any of the St Barts world renown eateries. One of the few excursions available on this sailing is a Sail Around St Barts, which is indeed a beautiful way to spend this day,.

DAY 7 ST KITTS & BEACH STOP

South Friar's Bay, St Kitts.jpg

To help celebrate our last (sorry) day on this sailing adventure we commemorate it with 2 stops. Get out and enjoy picturesque St Kitts from only 8:30 until 10:30 AM.. There is a huge shopping areas just steps from where we tender to.

St Kitts is one island where I do recommend a tour. It is indeed a beauty worth the time.

No worries if you are not back on time. We sail to South Friar's Bay just minutes away. Shen we are anchored you can see town and our beach stop. This is our very last stop so make it count between 11:30 AM until 6 PM.

Now you have one last dinner and night of live music under the very clear stars.

DAY 8 DEPART IN ST MAAARTEN

Star Flyer Dining Room.jpg

Sorry to say this is the end of our amazing sailing adventure. There is one last breakfast served. But be prepared to be shoved off by 11 AM, if not earlier.

We dock in an area of many shops. Just incase you need a last minute thing or three. Happy Trails. I hope it was as good for you as I anticipate it will be again for me. Cheers
