Here is a look at some of the top resorts we can't wait for to open in 2019

2018 was a bless year for the staff of ULTIMATE VACATIONS as we were privileged to visit several new destinations and resorts. That simply makes us better at our job, and gives our valued clients a trusted experienced source for vacation planning.

We are in the annual December process of having meetings with our top hoteliers and vacation suppliers making plans for 2019. We look forward being able to continue to expand our horizons and knowledge by again visiting new destinations, ships and resorts.

The Royalton Antigua is preparing to open in early 2019. This brand has earned our top respect with fabulous resorts in Mexico, Punta Cana, even St Lucia. We always receive 5-star feedback from our Royalton clients.

This new resort will sit on breathtaking Deep Bay, one of Antigua's 352 gorgeous beaches. One really cool feature will be Royalton's first ever microbrewery, featuring pub-style food and a wide selection of beers. Cheers to that. Can't wait to see and report on it.

Fans of #JimmyBuffett will love to learn of Margaritaville at The Pointe coming to Nassau. This $250 million, six-acre resort is scheduled to open in phases beginning in late 2019.

This project will include an open-air shopping concourse, a movie theater, bowling alley, outdoor stage for live performances, cascading water pool, St. Somewhere Spa, retail huts, a kid's club, and a private beach with cabanas and chaise lounges. We can also expect to see several signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts. Fins Up!

Our dear friends Joe & Dolores, owners of El Dorado Resorts, Lomas Travel and Generations Riviera Maya Resort, will soon bring us the very first All Inclusive Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya in Mexico. I have every confidence they will manage to top Nickelodeon Punta Cana.

All 280 suites will be oceanfront, including swim-up Pad and Flat Suites, plus four Penthouses. And best of all might well be the 500,000 square feet Aqua Nick activity center featuring a splash water park and an interactive water playground for toddlers.

Our family is so excited we have checked out the progress twice already. Here is our latest photo on the construction, from November, 2018. Hola SpongeBob.

AMResorts announced the former Riu Palace St. Martin will soon reopen as a Secrets resort on Asne Marcel. $20 million renovation will add a new rooftop pool offering grand ocean view.
